Flex6 Lacrosse is a fun, fast-paced, non-contact version of the game. It's is a version of our sport played by an official set of approved guidelines from USA Lacrosse. Flex6 Lacrosse is designed to meet the unique needs of communities across the country who want to provide accessible lacrosse play programs for people of any age and skill level.

What is Flex6 Lacrosse? - Flex6 Lacrosse is designed for community or school-based lacrosse programs who want to offer an affordable, inclusive and fun version of lacrosse programming that requires minimal equipment, smaller field requirements, and fewer players than the traditional game. Flex6 Lacrosse suggests that there is at a minimum one responsible adult (preferably a coach member of USA Lacrosse) present during program play to ensure the safety of the player

Flex6 Lacrosse Overview - Flex6 Lacrosse guidelines are standardized for safety, however most aspects of play are completely flexible and adaptable in the following areas

Smaller field (cross-field set-up, can also be played on courts or in gyms.

Up to 6v6 (ideal) but as few as 3v3 can play, or anything in between.
Can be mixed or single gender
Can be officiated formally or self-officiated
A variety of sticks is allowable—men’s, women’s, fiddle, or PE/soft-stick (with PE ball/soft-stick ball)

Played with a pinkie or tennis ball, or a PE/Soft-Stick ball if using a PE/soft-stick

No other player protective equipment needed

Flexible options for goals and scoring
No stick to stick, body to body, or body to stick contact

Governed by 10 simple “Laws” of the game, violations of laws result in a change of possession

Flex 6 Lacrosse (Learn to Play)

This program is designed to introduce players to the game and is open to anyone in grades K-6.

Lacrosse is a game for everyone. In this version of the game, all that’s needed is a small group of players, a space that is about ¼ the size of a traditional field, a crosse (lacrosse stick), and the appropriate ball. Ultimately, the purpose is to be safe, get moving, and have fun while playing the game of lacrosse. This is a non-contact, gender neutral, small-sided version of lacrosse play meant to be enjoyed by player of all ages.

Flex6 Lacrosse is a small sided (3v3 to 6v6) version of the game developed by USA Lacrosse and governed by 10 simple rules.

Players are invited to bring their own sticks or CWLA will have a limited amount of sticks to loan out for the day. No other equipment is needed. Mouth guards are optional but recommended.

All players will receive a practice pinnie and their first USA Lacrosse Membership (good for one year) as part of their registration.

OPTIONAL TOURNAMENT / PLAY DAY (Full gear will be needed) --
CWLA plans on attending the 7v7 Graveyard Tournament in Canton Ohio in late October / Early November. The following teams will be filled if there is enough interest:

  • Grades 3-4 (2030 - 2031)
  • Grades 5-6 (2028 - 2029) 

Estimated Additional Cost: $100 (covers additional practices, includes CW Graveyard tournament). Fees to be collected once minimum number of players is reached.
Focus: Continued training to improve/master game play and skills in preparation for 7v7 Graveyard Tournament (B Bracket) in Canton, Ohio played on the NFL Hall of Fame practice fields.
Graveyard Tournament Requirement: Minimum of 10 players needed to field a team

Boy's will also have the opportunity to participate at a play day this fall.
