The Middle School team has played their first two games including the first ever in Canal Winchester. They opened their season at Grove City with a hard fought 8-3 loss and followed it up against a very experienced Columbus Saints Varsity team. The boys and girls have been putting in lots of hard work and keep improving every day. Looking forward to the success their effort will bring!
Our 3/4 and 5/6 teams are still waiting for the official start of seasons. The 5/6 boys scrimmaged the Grove City team mid-March over at the C.W. Middle School. Didn't get the result we wanted but then again - it didn't count :-). You might remember the nighttime shot last month from our middle school team, well the 5/6 boys want you to know they'll work through anything too!
This month also marked the launch of the K-2 learn to play season. Special thank to Coach Deena and all the parents who enrolled their children. Welcome to the program!
Respect the Officials
Parents - Let’s set the example for exemplary treatment of officials. Most of the time our lacrosse refs are just kids learning their end of the game like our kids are! Here's an interesting article on parent/ref conflicts.
Other News:
In the middle of March the Canal Winchester Lacrosse Association (CWLA) was officially recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 Non Profit Organization. This means that the donations we collect are tax deductible and it all stays in our organization!
