Tuesday February 27th marked the official kick-off of the 2018 Canal Winchester Lacrosse Season. Players and coaches from CWJRD’s 3rd/4th Grade and 5th/6th Grade teams gathered at Winchester Trail Elementary School for their first practices. Despite the close quarters they were able to get in an hour of fundamentals in prep for the upcoming season. CWJRD teams will continue to practice inside this week and next before moving outdoors after the clock spring forward. The K-2 learn to play program will kick-off around this time as well.
After a few optional practices the CWLA Middle School team officially kicked off their practices on Tuesday as well. By the looks of the photo below we don’t think anyone was ready to leave. This is the inaugural season for the CWLA program which launched late last year. The program is open to boys and girls in and around Canal Winchester and has plans to field a high school team in 2019.
THANK YOU to all the families that attended CW Lacrosse night at Chipotle. This was the first fundraiser for CWLA and was a big success.
